Extended Device Warranty
The StemWave Extended Warranty offers additional coverage beyond the standard warranty provided with the device at the time of purchase. The warranty can be found here: www.stemwave.com/warranty. This extended warranty applies only to the core StemWave device and does not cover consumables.
General information
We offer two different types of extended warranties, which are both subject to Sections 2, 3, and 4 below:
- Extended Warranty (Paid monthly)
- Cost: $250 per month or $3,000 per year
- Contract Term: One-year contracts renewed annually.
- Waiting Period:
- A three-month waiting period applies if the warranty is purchased more than two years after the initial device purchase.
- Exclusions:
- Cosmetic damage to the chassis, top unit, or casters.
- Extended Warranty (Paid yearly)
- Cost: $2,500 per year, paid upfront.
- Contract Term: One-year contracts renewed annually.
- Waiting Period:
- A three-month waiting period applies if the warranty is purchased more than two years after the initial device purchase.
- Exclusions:
Cosmetic damage to the chassis, top unit, or casters.
Coverage
- Coverage – The extended warranty covers all failures of the Stemwave device’s core unit’s (Head unit and base unit) internal components except those listed in the exclusions section above.
- What is not covered – StemWave does not warrant that the electronic or software operation of the Product will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that all such errors may be corrected. None of the Limited Warranties apply to any of the following, as determined by StemWave in its sole discretion (“Excluded Use”):
- Products or parts that have been altered or modified (e.g., to alter functionality or capability) by anyone other than StemWave;
- damage caused by use with another product;
- overuse of the device and consumables not in accordance with the usage parameters
- use of the device not in accordance with the Permitted Use Requirements (as defined in your purchase agreement with Stemwave);
- cosmetic damages, including but not limited to scratches, dents, or color changes that do not affect the functionality of the device
- damage caused by accident, abuse, liquid contact, fire, or other external cause or misuse, including transporting the device, tampering with internal components, blunt force, using third-party components or consumables, improper handling, failure to comply with the usage guidelines provided by StemWave, unauthorized modifications, or any other actions inconsistent with the intended use of the device;
- damage caused by operating the device outside of its standard documentation or any other StemWave product guidelines;
- device whose housings have been opened or otherwise tampered with or
- defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the device.

General Conditions
Terms and Conditions
- To obtain warranty service for your device under this extended warranty, the purchaser of the extended warranty (“Purchaser”) must contact StemWave via email to support@stemwave.com within 30 days following the Purchaser’s discovery of any defect. StemWave Customer Service will give the warranty guidelines and allow a repair or an exchange if required and/or if the Product is subject to any of the exclusions set forth in Section 2 above.
- Each extended warranty that you purchase will cover up to 2 claims for warranty service for any portion of the device. For instance, your claims will be limited as follows: (a) 1 top unit claim and one full unit claim; (b) 2 top unit claims; or (c) 2 full unit claims. You will not have any warranty coverage under this extended warranty following your second claim for warranty service.
- REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER UNDER THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY. EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN, STEMWAVE MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR BY LAW, WHETHER OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED FROM STEMWAVE OR ELSEWHERE, WILL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED HEREIN. STEMWAVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER. STEMWAVE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. STEMWAVE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSONS CAUSED BY YOUR USE OF PRODUCTS, INCLUDING YOUR FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND THE FUNCTIONALITIES OF THE PRODUCT OR FAILURE TO DETERMINE THE SUITABILITY OF THE PRODUCT FOR YOUR INTENDED USE. WITHOUT LIMITATION TO ANYTHING SET FORTH IN THE STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS REFERENCING THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY IN NO EVENT WILL OUR LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR PRODUCTS.
- The foregoing limitations will apply even if any warranty or remedy provided under this extended warranty fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
- Fraudulent claims for warranty service will void your extended warranty. Purchaser is responsible for any necessary shipping charges for returned or replaced products. StemWave will decide, at its sole discretion, to repair or replace any of its device found to be defective. Any replacement under this extended warranty will only be made with the same or similar device of the same or similar value and will not include cash, credits, or other types of products. All repaired or replacement devices will be covered for the period remaining on your extended warranty. If StemWave determines that the problem with the Product is not covered under this extended warranty, StemWave will notify the Purchaser and inform the Purchaser of service or replacement alternatives that may be available.
- To transfer the warranty, the new owner must notify StemWave within 30 calendar days of the purchase and provide the original proof of purchase along with details of the transfer. The warranty will then be registered under the new owner’s name. Failure to notify StemWave within the specified period may result in the warranty being voided.
- The terms of this Extended Warranty may be modified at any time, for any reason, and at our sole discretion. Revisions to terms of this Extended Warranty will be effective as of the date that we post such changes. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to attempt to provide you with notice of such changes.
- Clients are allowed to be two weeks late on payment before their account becomes delinquent and coverage is lost.
Termination and Refunds
- Termination: The extended warranty is valid for the entire duration of the contract and cannot be terminated by the purchaser before the contract’s official end date. Once the contract term is completed, stemwave reserves the right to discontinue further warranty services for any reason. The extended warranty does not automatically renew. Early termination of the warranty is not permitted under any circumstances, ensuring you remain covered for the entire contract period.
- Non-Payment: Failure to maintain monthly payments will result in the automatic termination of the extended warranty coverage. Customers are allowed to be two weeks delinquent before coverage is lost.
